Nano Challa #1 is the product of an entire ecosystem working in harmony. Grown deep in the Gera District forest highlands of western Oromia, at over 2,000 metres above sea level, each tree produces barely 100 to 200 grams of green coffee — a humbling yield. It is a cluster of small farms by global standards, but the conditions and quality produces something extraordinary
 
Eutric Nitisol soils, deep red, humus-rich and slightly acidic, feed trees that have grown alongside ancient forest canopy for generations. Rain falls between 1,500 and 2,000mm annually, and temperatures rarely stray from a cool 12 to 25°C band — slowing the cherries and concentrating everything that makes this origin remarkable.
